Finding accommodations in Qatar is a different process than most fans have experienced during previous World Cups. Although not required to book with the Qatar Accommodation Agency, most properties are only available through this single independent contractor. Qatar Accommodation Agency 2022 has grouped its available lodging options into four major categories: Hotels, Apartments, Cruise Ships, and Fan Villages.

This was the status of available options through the Accommodation Agency in mid-June:

Cruise Ship - for dates that rooms are available the cheaper double rooms are $400-600/night.

Hotels - rooms are slowly being placed on the booking site when they are released by the official parties.

Apartments - 2-3 bedroom apartment for 4-6 people are available for $400-600 per night. A single budget option has double rooms for just over $120 per night.

Fan Villages - double “cabin” cost $200/night. A tent option is rumor to become available in approximately July.

Now in mid-August most options show “low availability” and significantly higher prices.

The primary requirement before making a book is to have purchased a game ticket. When you enter the booking site, you will see the following message requiring you to enter your Ticket Application Number:

There is also a minimum stay requirement outlined in the table below.

The cancellation policy has been as follows:

• Before 30 April 2022 - cancellation fee of 20%.

• After 30 April 2022 - cancellation fee of 100%

• Partial Cancellation – Room nights retained must comply with minimum stay requirements. Room nights canceled will have the same cancellation fees.

• Resale – If canceled room nights are resold, 80% of the cancellation fee will be returned.
