How to Change Names of Ticket Holders on World Cup Tickets

Now that the lottery for phase 2 is complete and notifications have been sent, undoubtedly many of you are trying to change the names of the Ticket Holders, or even the Main Applicant on your ticket applications.

It is now possible to change the names of Ticket Holders on all purchased tickets. However, consistent with earlier communication and despite the ticketing site having a button to “RESET MAIN APPLICANT” - the Main Applicant still CAN NOT be changed. There is much speculation surrounding the ticketing site’s appearance of a function to change the Main Applicant and there is still plenty of fan pressure for the function to be activated, so uncertainty remains as to whether the function will exist in the future.

For now, here’s a step-by-step guide to changing the names of Ticket Holders for your World Cup tickets…

Begin by going to the FIFA ticketing website and login to your account. Click Here

Scroll down to “My Application.”

Select the category of your application.

For U.S. Supporter tickets, you need to scroll down and select the subcategory.

On the next page, select “My Tickets’”

Then select “Modify Ticket Holders’”

Enter information for the new ticket holder and save.. All done!!

Remember the Main Applicant CAN NOT be changed. If you click on “Reset Main Applicant” you will receive this warning which appears that if you agree it will allow you to change the name. However, on the next page, the name of the Main Applicant will be locked.
